Blackies is the perfect place to go to see who really lives and drinks in Newport Beach. Theres no fanfare or faking it for the tourists. Blackies overlooks the ocean and should be one of your first stops along the boardwalk. In the early Mornings youll find an older rougher crowd, locals trying to beat the tourists to a couple beers and chit chatting with each other over the weather or the surf (or lack there of) . The beers are cheep and its a great escape from the madness that takes over newport during the summer.
